I'm going to say something that might sound harsh and I want you to hear it correctly: the version of you that's running on empty, doing the minimum, showing up but not really showing up, is not the version of you that will matter.
This is not about productivity. This is not about hustle. This is something more fundamental.
Every person who has done something worth doing has had to make a choice at some point between the comfortable version of their life and the real one. Not once. Repeatedly. The comfortable version is always available. It's always right there, offering exactly what it promises: comfort. The absence of effort. The absence of risk. The absence of the particular kind of failure that only happens when you actually try.
What it doesn't tell you is that it also offers the absence of everything else.
